Selling your LP collection?
We buy records!

Yes, we buy your old records! Buying records is, of course, what our business is based on. Records don't grow on trees.

Our typical buying procedure is quite simple:

  • You bring us the records you want to sell 

  • The buyer on duty examines the records (artist/title/condition are all factors.

  • WE CANNOT BUY SCRATCHY RECORDS.

  • After we check out your records, the buyer will make an offer for the titles we can use. Generally you'll have the option of cash or a slightly higher amount in store credit.

Criteria for buying and what we pay:

  • We buy popular music in nearly all genres, from rock and soul to jazz, folk and disco. 

  • We buy soundtracks, but we do not buy Broadway show albums!

  • Additionally, we do not buy classical, opera, or big band LPs. 
  • The dollar amount we pay out is roughly 1/3 of our re-sale price. 
  • Keep in mind that most top 40 albums of the seventies and eighties are very common records--they sold hundreds of thousands of copies at the time! As such, some popular titles we may not be able to buy at all times, depending on the level of our current stock.
  • Don't Forget! We close at 8 o'clock pm most days, so try to bring records in before 7:00.

If you've got a large personal collection of LPs you'd like to sell, either yours or as a favor to a friend or relative, please don't hesitate to give us a call! There are plenty of reasons to love large LP collections, not least of which is that in a collection that size the LPs probably weren't getting played frequently enough to really wear them out. Furthermore, we love to buy from discerning vinyl collectors--we play top dollar for rare and exciting items!
